Hi Mellissa-- Thanks for writing to us. I'm very sorry for the delayed response. You are on the right track by choosing to diet and exercise. Using pounds alone may not be the best way to guauge your fatloss. Sometimes when you diet and excercise your body begins to replace fat with muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat which can often make you think you are not "loosing weight". Yet I think most people mean looking more fit when they use the term "loosing weight". So in this case I would say continue taking measurements of your self and watch your energy levels. Weight watchers is a great way to motivate yourself to get back in shape yet diets aren't universal. Everyone reacts a little differntly to certain foods. A good diet will leave you feeling energetic, content and hungry for more healthy food.

Your leader was right when she mentioned that you need to gain more muscle. Most women I train seem to think that lifting weights will make them grow bulky muscles. Women don't produce the testosterone leves men do and will not grow the same way we do. The harder you lift the better. As your muscle grows, your metabolism begins to process the foods you eat to repair your grwoing muscles. The result is a stronger, leaner you. If by chance you appear to look bulkier, don't worry its just a transition stage that can be changed by adjusting your diet.

I hope this answers your questions--- keep us posted on your progress.

It is very interesting reading about diets as there seems to be a new one every month or week. Losing weight and living healthier is something our countries needs but most diets are setting people up for failure. Cutting out certain foods is not the solution but eating less, more frequently and the right foods at the right time is the solution. There are many factors to dieting and your post did a great job.

sooner or later have to find time for illness. .

Have You Ever Wondered What It Might Be Like To Find The Long Lost Fountain Of Youth?
At Last, the Ultimate Secrets of "How to be live to a Hundred" Finally Revealed!
Learn How You Can Add 10-20 More Years To Your Life With the New Discoveries in Medical Science...

It's never too late to take steps towards a healthy lifestyle, even if you've had terrible health habits for many years. And it's never too late to enjoy the benefits either. If you live healthier, getting fit will be easier too.

Getting healthier CAN be a challenge. But having a plan and finding the motivation can make a real difference. Like any change you decide to make in your life, the best approach is to just take it one step at a time. Start with small changes and move on from there.

But, until that day of more perfect knowledge arrives, I believe we should, in all good conscience, use the most perfect tools that we now have, namely the "How to be live to a Hundred". The mounting evidence that they can save the lives and health of countless victims is now too powerful to allow us to stand by and wait for the perfect cure or the therapeutic millennium.

There has never been a time in history when greater need exists for true preventive medicine and lifestyle changes to transform our society. New and mysterious diseases appear on the horizon each year. Preventable killer diseases, such as heart attacks and cancer, must be addressed and the death toll modified. "How to be live to a Hundred" has been published to help husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, children, physicians, students, and people everywhere to understand common symptoms, to learn to administer simple home remedies, and cooperate better with nature and their physicians in the treatment of common diseases.

It is not with any desire to criticize conventional medicine that "How to be live to a Hundred" was written. Rather, it is to inform average individuals, laymen as well as homemakers, in the art and the science of medicine, thereby saving not only needless medical expenses, lost time with unnecessary illnesses, but possibly many lives as well. Careful application of the preventive principles in this book will, without doubt, produce better health at home and offer more intelligent approaches to disease.

"How to be live to a Hundred" has been written, not only for laymen, but also for those special physicians and nurses who are seeking rational and natural approaches to common diseases. Together with detailed and systematic study of the medical literature, this introduction to simple remedies contains knowledge with which every medical practitioner should be familiar. This author anticipates that "How to be live to a Hundred" will become one of the most valued health references in every family library. It is to the health and happiness of you, dear reader or patient, that time has been devoted in translating a unique medical education into terms understandable by everyone.

The writer believes that a longer, happier life will be yours if you make a whole-hearted effort to absorb and follow the directions given in "How to be live to a Hundred". Like most worthwhile undertakings, it will take patience and time. But the results are so vital to you and to your loved ones, that your utmost efforts can reward you with a rich harvest of health and extra years of happy living.

Gabe,
How often are you eating, what exactly are you eating, how intense are your work outs and what are you doing for cardio and what results are you looking for?

It sounds like you are trying to lose weight. Try to eat a healthy breakfast and I don't mean pancakes suasage and hashbrowns. Eat a few eggwhites and some whole wheat toast or some plain oatmeal. A few hours later eat a banana or a half of a grapefruit. For lunch have a light turkey sandwich or a nice romaine lettuce salad with grilled chicken and balsmaic dressing. Eat a handful of almonds as a snack before dinner. For dinner make sure you eat light like a piece of baked Tilapia with some steamed spinach. You don't want to eat a heavy meal before bed because you wont burn off many calories while you sleep.

Are you sore from your work outs and do they make you sweat? If not you need to make some changes. Try switching up the order you do your work outs and increase the reps. Take less time in-between sets for rest and and do more full body excercises. Circuit training is a great way to work your whole body while getting a decent cardio work out. You could do this 3 days a week and intensify it every other week. Blog us back if you need anything else.
